Kiowa County Mavericks (Greensburg, KS) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Satanta Indians (Satanta, KS), 62-35 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Kiowa County upgrades its record to 9-7 on the campaign. The Mavericks travel to South Central (Coldwater, KS) to play the Timberwolves in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Timberwolves come into the bout with a record of 12-3. South Central won 54-19 in their recent non-league bout against Kinsley (Kinsley, KS)

Next up, the Indians play the Moscow Wildcats (Moscow, KS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Satanta will attempt to upgrade on its 5-11 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 2-10 record after their 70-45 non-league loss to Minneola (Minneola, KS).
