The Washington-Wilkes Tigers basketball team (Washington, GA), was nudged 51-50 in Friday's league battle with the host Lincoln County Red Devils (Lincolnton, GA)
The Red Devils now possess a 11-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Aquinas for a A D2 Region 8 battle on Saturday, February 3. Lincoln County will confront a Fightin' Irish team coming off a 80-40 league loss to Greene County (Greensboro, GA). The Fightin' Irish record now stands at 3-15.
The Tigers (6-12) will now prepare for their battle against Warren County (Warrenton, GA). The Screaming Devils come into the A D2 Region 8 battle with a 17-5 record. In their last battle, Warren County edged Towns County (Hiawassee, GA), 65-52, in a league battle.
