In Friday's league outing, the Lyford Bulldogs (Lyford, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Monte Alto Blue Devil (Monte Alto, TX), by a margin of 84-41.

The Bulldogs (15-14) will now prepare for their outing against IDEA Weslaco Pike (Weslaco, TX). The Mavericks go into the 3A Region IV District 32 outing with a 10-13 record. In their last outing, IDEA Weslaco Pike smashed Progreso (Progreso, TX), 50-46, in a league outing.

The Blue Devil now own a 2-12 record. They play next when they travel to IDEA Sports Park for a 3A Region IV District 32 outing on Monday, February 5. Monte Alto will clash with a Stingrays squad coming off a 58-32 league win over IDEA Riverview (Brownsville, TX). The Stingrays record now stands at 17-5.
