Austin Panthers (Austin, PA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Smethport Hubbers (Smethport, PA), 47-34 in a league bout.

With the victory, Austin upgrades its record to 9-5 on the campaign. The Panthers host Coudersport (Coudersport, PA) to play the Falcons in a North Tier bout on Wednesday, February 7. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 13-4.

Next up, the Hubbers play the Johnsonburg Rams (Johnsonburg, PA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 5. Smethport will attempt to upgrade on its 4-14 season record. The Rams come into the bout with a 3-10 record after their 48-26 non-league loss to Coudersport (Coudersport, PA).
