The Gilmer Buckeyes (Gilmer, TX) basketball knocked off the visiting Chapel Hill Bulldogs (Tyler, TX), 40-32 in Friday's league test.
The Buckeyes (17-12) will now prepare for their test against Spring Hill (Longview, TX). The Panthers go into the 4A Region III District 17 test with a 13-17 record. In their last test, Spring Hill went down by Chapel Hill (Tyler, TX), 52-18, in a league test.
The Bulldogs now own a 18-13 record. They play next when they host Henderson for a 4A Region III District 17 test on Tuesday, February 6. Chapel Hill will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 55-53 league win over Center (Center, TX). The Lions record now stands at 19-9.
