The Cobden Appleknockers basketball team scored 47 points and restricted the host Hardin County Cougars to 39 in the Appleknockers non-league victory on Friday.

The Appleknockers now sport a 7-17 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cairo for a non-league contest on Monday, February 5. Cobden will battle a Pilots team coming off a 53-44 non-league loss to Central (Cape Girardeau, MO). The Pilots record now stands at 8-17.

The Cougars (1-21) will now prepare for their contest against Meridian (Mounds, IL). The Bobcats come into the non-league contest with a 17-9 record. In their last contest, Meridian was defeated by Harrisburg (Harrisburg, IL), 63-33, in a non-league contest.
