The Harrisonburg Blue Streaks (Harrisonburg, VA) basketball nipped the host William Monroe Dragons (Stanardsville, VA), 38-36 in Friday's league test.
The Blue Streaks (8-11) will now prepare for their test against Broadway (Broadway, VA). The Gobblers go into the Valley test with a 15-6 record. In their last test, Broadway got by East Rockingham (Elkton, VA), 50-39, in a league test.
The Dragons now own a 7-12 record. They play next when they travel to Rockbridge County for a Valley test on Tuesday, February 6. William Monroe will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 48-15 league loss to Turner Ashby (Bridgewater, VA). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-19.
