The Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX) basketball crushed the visiting Mission Veterans Memorial Patriots (Mission, TX), 65-23 in Friday's league test.
The Mustangs (27-10) will now prepare for their test against Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX). The Huskies go into the 5A Region IV District 30 test with a 2-23 record. In their last test, Juarez-Lincoln was trounced by Martin (Laredo, TX), 47-26, in a league test.
The Patriots now own a 8-17 record. They play next when they travel to Martin for a 5A Region IV District 30 test on Tuesday, February 6. Mission Veterans Memorial will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 47-26 league win over Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 17-18.
