Riverdale Chieftains (Muscoda, WI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Southwestern Wildcats (Hazel Green, WI), 63-52 in a league bout.

With the win, Riverdale upgrades its record to 6-15 on the season. The Chieftains host Iowa-Grant (Livingston, WI) to play the Panthers in a Southwest Wisconsin Activities bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 9-12. Iowa-Grant won 66-53 in their recent league bout against Boscobel (Boscobel, WI)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Mineral Point Pointers (Mineral Point, WI) in a Southwest Wisconsin Activities bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Southwestern will attempt to upgrade on its 1-19 season record. The Pointers go into the bout with a 16-3 record after their 49-40 league win over Fennimore (Fennimore, WI).
