The East Gaston Warriors basketball team (Mt. Holly, NC), was nudged 43-40 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Thomas Jefferson Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC)

The Gryphons now possess a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Burns for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 6. Thomas Jefferson will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 62-22 non-league win over Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 12-5.

The Warriors (7-7) will now prepare for their battle against Cherryville (Cherryville, NC). The Ironmen come into the non-league battle with a 8-8 record. In their last battle, Cherryville edged Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC), 42-18, in a non-league battle.
