The Galax Maroon Tide topped the host Grayson County Blue Devils basketball team by a final score of 39-30 in Friday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Maroon Tide face the Auburn Eagles (Riner, VA) in a non-league game, on Monday, February 5. Galax will attempt to move on its 8-7 season record. The Eagles enter the game with a 0-10 record after their 47-33 non-league loss to George Wythe (Wytheville, VA).

With the defeat, Grayson County moves to 4-12 on the year. The Blue devils host Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA) to face the Pioneers in a non-league game on Tuesday, February 6. The Pioneers come into the contest with a record of 16-3. Fort Chiswell won 48-37 in their recent non-league contest against Giles (Pearisburg, VA)
