California High School Basketball - Placer thwarts Nevada Union

The Placer Hillmen (Auburn, CA) basketball knocked off the visiting Nevada Union Miners (Grass Valley, CA), 55-42 in Friday's league test.
The Hillmen (10-13) will now prepare for their test against West Park (Roseville, CA). The Panthers go into the test with a 18-7 record. In their last test, West Park notched a victory over Ponderosa (Shingle Springs, CA), 67-65, in a league test.
The Miners now own a 16-8 record. They play next when they host Oakmont for a test on Wednesday, February 7. Nevada Union will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 42-31 league win over Lincoln (Lincoln, CA). The Vikings record now stands at 8-18.
