The North Brunswick Scorpions (Leland, NC) basketball felled the visiting Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC), 43-34 in Friday's non-league test.
The Scorpions (11-5) will now prepare for their test against New Hanover (Wilmington, NC). The Wildcats go into the non-league test with a 13-0 record. In their last test, New Hanover thwarted South Brunswick (Southport, NC), 68-26, in a non-league test.
The Pirates now own a 6-11 record. They play next when they travel to South Brunswick for a non-league bout on Friday, February 9.
