North Carolina High School Basketball - Owen thwarts Draughn

The Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC) basketball knocked off the host Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC), 79-67 in Tuesday's league test.

The Warhorses (7-15) will now prepare for their test against Mitchell (Bakersville, NC). The Mountaineers go into the 1A/2A Western Highlands test with a 17-8 record. In their last test, Mitchell notched a victory over NCSSM: Morganton (Morganton, NC), 89-69, in a non-league test.

The Wildcats now own a 10-15 record.
