The Paynesville Bulldogs basketball team scored 72 points and held the visiting Kimball Cubs to 44 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 17-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Minnewaska Area for a AA Section 3 contest on Thursday, February 22. Paynesville will battle a Lakers team coming off a 79-53 non-league loss to Melrose (Melrose, MN). The Lakers record now stands at 2-23.
The Cubs (7-16) will now prepare for their contest against Holdingford (Holdingford, MN). The Huskers enter the AA Section 6 contest with a 9-16 record. In their last contest, Holdingford triumphed over Royalton (Royalton, MN), 77-64, in a league contest.
