Elida Tigers (Elida, NM) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Lake Arthur Panthers (Lake Arthur, NM), 44-21 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Elida upgrades its record to 13-12 on the campaign. The Tigers host Dora (Dora, NM) to play the Coyotes in a A District 4 bout on Thursday, February 22. The Coyotes come into the bout with a record of 16-7. Dora won 68-23 in their recent league bout against Floyd (Floyd, NM)

Next up, the Panthers play the Gateway Christian Warriors (Roswell, NM) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 22. Lake Arthur will attempt to upgrade on its 0-17 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 14-9 record after their 44-26 non-league win over Carrizozo (Carrizozo, NM).
