Memorial Mustangs (Houston, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Cypress Creek Cougars (Houston, TX), 13-4 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host Cypress Falls for a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 22. Memorial will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 14-2 league win over Cypress Lakes (Katy, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, Cypress Creek falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Stratford (Houston, TX) to battle the Spartans in a 6A Region III District 17 challenge on Tuesday, February 27. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 3-2.
