Texas High School Softball - Vela bounces Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest

The Vela Sabercats routed the visiting Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest Javelinas softball squad by a count of 12-5 in Tuesday's league battle.

The Sabercats (3-5) will now prepare for their battle against Veterans Memorial (Brownsville, TX). The Chargers go into the non-league battle with a 3-3 record. In their last battle, Veterans Memorial nudged Porter (Brownsville, TX), 13-2, in a league battle.

The Javelinas now sport a 0-3 record. They play next when they travel to Juarez-Lincoln for a non-league battle on Saturday, February 24. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest will meet a Huskies squad coming off a 16-4 non-league loss to Sharyland (Mission, TX). The Huskies record now stands at 3-3.
