The Irwin County Indians baseball team scored 10 runs and held the host Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane to 2 in the Indians non-league win on Thursday.

The Indians now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Echols County for a 1A D-II Area 2 test on Tuesday, February 25. Irwin County will play a Wildcats team coming off a 11-0 non-league loss to Community School of Naples (Naples, FL). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-3.

With the defeat, Fitzgerald drops to 3-3 on the year. The Purple hurricane host Cook (Adel, GA) to play the Hornets in a non-league test on Tuesday, February 25. The Hornets go into the test with a record of 4-2. Cook lost 6-4 in their recent non-league test against Community School of Naples (Naples, FL)
