In Thursday's league test, the Cliff Cowboys/Cowgirls (Cliff, NM) basketball squad trounced the host Reserve Mountaineers (Reserve, NM), by a score of 71-40.
Next, the Cowboys/Cowgirls encounter the Hondo Valley Eagles (Hondo, NM) in a non-league test, on Friday, February 21. Cliff will attempt to improve on its 21-4 season record. The Eagles come into the test with a 8-15 record after their 52-41 league win over Carrizozo (Carrizozo, NM).
The Mountaineers (5-17) will now prepare for their test against Animas (Animas, NM). The Panthers come into the A District 2 test with a 0-23 record. In their last test, Animas was routed by Quemado (Quemado, NM), 64-29, in a league test.
