The Lewiston-Altura Cardinals basketball team (Lewiston, MN), was routed 75-53 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Chatfield Gophers (Chatfield, MN)
The Gophers now sport a 15-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Dover-Eyota for a AA Section 1 battle on Friday, February 24. Chatfield will battle a Eagles team coming off a 78-48 non-league loss to Wabasha-Kellogg (Wabasha, MN). The Eagles record now stands at 4-21.
The Cardinals (10-15) will now prepare for their battle against St. Charles (St. Charles, MN). The Fighting Saints come into the AA Section 1 battle with a 4-22 record. In their last battle, St. Charles was routed by Plainview-Elgin-Millville (Elgin, MN), 78-53, in a league battle.
