North Marion Huskies (Aurora, OR) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Newport Cubs (Newport, OR), 60-55 in a league bout.

With the victory, North Marion upgrades its record to 16-6 on the campaign. The Huskies host Cottage Grove (Cottage Grove, OR) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 25. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 11-13. Cottage Grove lost 50-45 in their recent non-league bout against North Bend (North Bend, OR)
