The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Orono Spartans (Long Lake, MN) and the host Waconia Wildcats (Waconia, MN), observed Orono's basketball team knock off Waconia by a score of 89-72.

The Spartans (18-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Benilde-St. Margaret's (St. Louis Park, MN). The Red Knights come into the AAA Section 6 challenge with a 18-3 record.

In their next game, the Wildcats encounter the Chaska Hawks (Chaska, MN) in a AAAA Section 2 challenge, on Tuesday, February 25. Waconia will attempt to improve on its 11-11 season record.
