South Central Rebels (Elizabeth, IN) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting New Washington Mustangs (New Washington, IN), 67-39 in a league bout.

With the victory, South Central upgrades its record to 17-5 on the campaign. The Rebels host Eastern (Pekin, IN) to play the Musketeers in a non-league bout on Friday, February 23. The Musketeers come into the bout with a record of 9-12. Eastern lost 77-38 in their recent league bout against Brownstown Central (Brownstown, IN)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Crothersville Tigers (Crothersville, IN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 27. New Washington will attempt to upgrade on its 4-19 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 6-17 record after their 67-50 non-league loss to Trimble County (Bedford, KY).
