The Winfield Pirates baseball team scored 17 runs and limited the host Lamar County Bulldogs to 6 in the Pirates non-league victory on Friday.

The Pirates (2-2) will now prepare for their match against Northridge (Tuscaloosa, AL). The Jaguars go into the non-league match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Northridge was overwhelmed by McAdory (McCalla, AL), 9-8, in a non-league match.

The Bulldogs (1-3) will now prepare for their match against Fayette County (Fayette, AL). The Tigers go into the non-league match with a 3-3 record. In their last match, Fayette County ran past Haleyville (Haleyville, AL), 20-9, in a non-league match.
