The Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Jaguars basketball team scored 81 points and held the visiting Maple Lake Irish to 47 in the Jaguars league triumph on Friday.
The Jaguars now sport a 16-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Royalton for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 29. Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa will battle a Royals team coming off a 79-59 non-league loss to Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City (Grove City, MN). The Royals record now stands at 8-18.
The Irish (3-22) will now prepare for their contest against Paynesville (Paynesville, MN). The Bulldogs enter the AA Section 3 contest with a 19-6 record. In their last contest, Paynesville triumphed over Eden Valley-Watkins (Eden Valley, MN), 57-54, in a league contest.
