Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Devils Lake Firebirds (Devils Lake, ND) and the visiting Thompson Tommies (Thompson, ND), saw Devils Lake's basketball squad overcome Thompson by a tally of 80-69.
With the victory, Devils Lake improves its record to 20-3 on the campaign. The Firebirds host Carrington (Carrington, ND) to confront the Cardinals in a A Region 2 challenge on Monday, February 26. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 2-21. Carrington lost 79-44 in their recent league challenge against Grafton (Grafton, ND)
Next up, the Tommies confront the Four Winds/Minnewaukan Indians (Fort Totten, ND) in a A Region 2 challenge, on Tuesday, February 27. Thompson will attempt to improve on its 11-9 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 16-4 record after their 75-48 league win over Hillsboro/Central Valley (Buxton, ND).
