The Beecher Buccaneers basketball team scored 45 points and held the visiting New Standard Academy Spartans to 35 in the Buccaneers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Buccaneers now sport a 6-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Atherton for a Genesee Area - Red contest on Thursday, February 29.

The Spartans (2-13) will now prepare for their contest against Tournament Team (, ). The enter the non-league contest with a 10-20 record. In their last contest, Tournament Team was outscored by Winston-Salem Christian National (Winston-Salem, NC), 63-31, in a non-league contest.
