The Northeast Jones Tigers baseball team scored 15 runs and held the visiting Stringer Red Devils to 1 in the Tigers non-league win on Tuesday.
The Tigers now hold a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Richton for a non-league test on Thursday, February 27. Northeast Jones will play a Rebels team coming off a 11-5 non-league loss to Wayne County (Waynesboro, MS). The Rebels record now stands at 0-5.
With the defeat, Stringer drops to 0-7 on the year. The Red devils host Quitman (Quitman, MS) to play the Panthers in a non-league test on Friday, February 28. The Panthers go into the test with a record of 6-2. Quitman lost 12-1 in their recent non-league test against Neshoba Central (Philadelphia, MS)
