The University Trojans (Irvine, CA) volleyball nudged the visiting El Modena Vanguards (Orange, CA), 2-1 in Saturday's non-league outing.

With the win, University upgrades its record to 2-3 on the year. The Trojans host Yorba Linda (Yorba Linda, CA) to face the Mustangs in a non-league outing on Tuesday, March 1. The Mustangs go into the outing with a record of 6-2. Yorba Linda won 2-0 in their recent non-league outing against Esperanza (Anaheim, CA)

The Vanguards now own a 2-5 record. They play next when they travel to Saugus for a non-league outing on Saturday, February 26. El Modena will face a Centurions squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Claremont (Claremont, CA). The Centurions record now stands at 1-3.
