The Paul VI Panthers (Chantilly, VA) basketball nipped the host DeMatha Stags (Hyattsville, MD), 72-70 in Sunday's non-league test.

The Panthers (28-2) will now prepare for their test against St. John's (Washington, DC). The Cadets go into the non-league test with a 28-2 record. In their last test, St. John's got by Gonzaga (Washington, DC), 54-53, in a non-league test.

The Stags now own a 18-12 record.
