Estill County Engineers (Irvine, KY) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Powell County Pirates (Stanton, KY), 42-28 in a league bout.

With the win, Estill County upgrades its record to 14-17 on the season. The Engineers travel to Owsley County (Booneville, KY) to play the Owls / Lady Owls in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 28. The Owls / Lady Owls go into the bout with a record of 21-9. Owsley County lost 67-65 in their recent non-league bout against Danville (Danville, KY)
