In Wednesday's non-league test, the Oakmont Vikings (Roseville, CA) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Rio Americano Raiders (Sacramento, CA), by a tally of 17-12.

The Vikings now possess a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host El Camino for a non-league battle on Thursday, February 27. Oakmont will confront a Eagles team coming off a 15-3 non-league loss to Christian Brothers (Sacramento, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Rio Americano moves to 1-1 on the season. The Raiders host Kennedy (Sacramento, CA) to confront the Cougars in a non-league battle on Monday, March 3. The Cougars come into the battle with a record of 1-3.
