California High School Softball - Rio Americano sneaks past Oakmont

March 19, 2025: Sacramento, CA 95864

In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Rio Americano Raiders softball team scored a tight 16-15 win over the Oakmont Vikings.

The Raiders (4-9) will now prepare for their match against Ponderosa (Shingle Springs, CA). The Bruins come into the Capital Valley Conference match with a 4-6 record. In their last match, Ponderosa nipped Christian Brothers (Sacramento, CA), 17-7, in a league match.

In their next game, the Vikings confront the Wheatland Pirates (Wheatland, CA) in a Pioneer Valley League match, on Thursday, March 20. Oakmont will attempt to better on its 4-3 season record. The Pirates come into the match with a 5-4 record after their 11-6 league win over Lincoln (Lincoln, CA).
