The Paynesville Bulldogs basketball team scored 97 points and restricted the visiting Maple Lake Irish to 22 in the Bulldogs non-league victory on Monday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 16-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Holdingford for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 28. Paynesville will battle a Huskers team coming off a 79-54 league loss to Sauk Centre (Sauk Centre, MN). The Huskers record now stands at 6-16.

The Irish (0-24) will now prepare for their contest against Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City (Grove City, MN). The Falcons come into the AA Section 3 contest with a 10-13 record. In their last contest, Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City triumphed over Kimball (Kimball, MN), 73-63, in a non-league contest.
