The Southern Durham Spartans routed the visiting Hillside Hornets softball squad by a count of 20-2 in Monday's non-league battle.
The Spartans (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Jordan (Durham, NC). The Falcons go into the non-league battle with a 0-0 record.
The Hornets now sport a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Southeast Raleigh for a non-league battle on Thursday, March 2. Hillside will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 58-40 non-league win over Smithfield-Selma (Smithfield, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-1.
