Asheville Cougars (Asheville, NC) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad gain a win over the host Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC), 7-5 in a league battle.

The Cougars now have a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Watauga for a NW/The Mountain/Western Foothills/Mtn. Foothills battle on Thursday, February 29. Asheville will clash with a Pioneers squad coming off a 12-3 league win over Patton (Morganton, NC). The Pioneers record now stands at 1-0.

In their next game, the Red Tornadoes clash with the Lake Norman Charter Knights (Huntersville, NC) in a non-league battle, on Monday, March 4. Hickory will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record.
