Colorado High School Basketball - Gilpin County trounced by Union Colony Prep

The Gilpin County Eagles basketball squad (Black Hawk, CO), was crushed 109-31 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Union Colony Prep Timberwolves (Greeley, CO)

With the victory, Union Colony Prep advances its record to 11-11 on the year. The Timberwolves travel to Front Range Christian (Littleton, CO) to meet the Falcons in a non-league battle on Saturday, March 1. The Falcons enter the battle with a record of 8-14. Front Range Christian lost 56-40 in their recent non-league battle against Dawson School (Lafayette, CO)

The Eagles now own a 0-22 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Denver Academy for a 3A/2A/1A Mile High battle on Saturday, March 1. Gilpin County will meet a Mustangs squad coming off a 64-51 league loss to Clear Creek (Evergreen, CO). The Mustangs record now stands at 8-14.
