The Mt. Mansfield Cougars basketball team scored 55 points and limited the host St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltoppers to 44 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Cougars now have a 18-4 record. They play next when they host Champlain Valley Union for a non-league game on Saturday, March 1. Mt. Mansfield will confront a Redhawks team coming off a 51-30 non-league win over South Burlington (South Burlington, VT). The Redhawks record now stands at 13-6.

With the loss, St. Johnsbury Academy falls to 18-1 on the campaign. The Hilltoppers travel to Essex (Essex Junction, VT) to confront the Hornets in a Metro game on Saturday, March 1. The Hornets go into the game with a record of 12-8. Essex won 50-49 in their recent non-league game against Bellows Free Academy (St. Albans, VT)
