The Picayune Maroon Tide (Picayune, MS) softball nipped the host Purvis Tornadoes (Purvis, MS), 3-2 in Thursday's non-league outing.
The Maroon Tide now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Poplarville for a non-league outing on Friday, February 28. Picayune will encounter a Hornets team coming off a 5-4 non-league win over Harrison Central (Gulfport, MS). The Hornets record now stands at 2-3.
