In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Dodson Panthers softball team scored a tight 12-9 win over the Peabody Warhorses.
The Panthers (3-1) will now prepare for their match against Red River (Coushatta, LA). The Bulldogs come into the non-league match with a 3-2 record. In their last match, Red River nipped Ringgold (Ringgold, LA), 16-11, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Warhorses battle the East Iberville Tigers (St. Gabriel, LA) in a non-league match, on Saturday, March 1. Peabody will attempt to better on its 3-4 season record. The Tigers come into the match with a 2-2 record after their 17-9 non-league win over Donaldsonville (Donaldsonville, LA).
