In Friday's non-league test, the La Quinta Blackhawks (La Quinta, CA) softball squad got by the host JW North Huskies (Riverside, CA), by a tally of 8-7.
Next, the Blackhawks clash with the Western Christian Fighting Lancers (Upland, CA) in a non-league test, on Saturday, March 1. La Quinta will attempt to advance on its 5-1 season record. The Fighting Lancers go into the test with a 3-4 record after their 8-0 non-league win over Cathedral City (Cathedral City, CA).
The Huskies (3-4) will now prepare for their test against Palm Desert (Palm Desert, CA). The Aztecs go into the non-league test with a 2-1 record. In their last test, Palm Desert held off San Jacinto Valley Academy (San Jacinto, CA), 7-4, in a non-league test.
