The Monmouth United Red Storm basketball team (Monmouth, IL), was nudged 51-44 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes (Abingdon, IL)

The Tornadoes now possess a 8-16 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Annawan for a non-league battle on Saturday, February 4. Abingdon/Avon will confront a Braves team coming off a 64-57 non-league win over Wethersfield (Kewanee, IL). The Braves record now stands at 11-14.

The Red Storm (11-14) will now prepare for their battle against Annawan (Annawan, IL). The Braves come into the Lincoln Trail battle with a 12-14 record. In their last battle, Annawan edged Abingdon/Avon (Abingdon, IL), 32-31, in a non-league battle.
