The Valley View Cougars (Archbald, PA) basketball nipped the visiting Abington Heights Comets (Clarks Summit, PA), 41-38 in Friday's league test.

The Cougars (16-2) will now prepare for their test against North Pocono (Covington Township, PA). The Trojans go into the non-league test with a 9-8 record. In their last test, North Pocono got by Western Wayne (Lake Ariel, PA), 60-26, in a league test.

The Comets now own a 17-2 record. They play next when they host Scranton for a Lackawanna 1 test on Tuesday, February 7. Abington Heights will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 76-66 league loss to Scranton Prep (Scranton, PA). The Knights record now stands at 6-11.
