Michigan High School Basketball - Alcona thwarts Rogers City

The Alcona Tigers (Lincoln, MI) basketball knocked off the host Rogers City Hurons (Rogers City, MI), 59-46 in Friday's league test.

The Tigers (7-6) will now prepare for their test against Oscoda (Oscoda, MI). The Owls go into the North Star test with a 5-7 record. In their last test, Oscoda notched a victory over Whittemore-Prescott (Whittemore, MI), 53-37, in a league test.

The Hurons now own a 2-12 record. They play next when they host Mio-Au Sable for a North Star test on Tuesday, February 7. Rogers City will encounter a Thunderbolts squad coming off a 29-14 league win over Heston Academy (St. Helen, MI). The Thunderbolts record now stands at 12-0.
