In Friday's league outing, the Atkinson County Rebels (Pearson, GA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Echols County Wildcats (Statenville, GA), by a count of 51-24.

The Rebels (5-17) will now prepare for their outing against Clinch County (Homerville, GA). The Panthers go into the A D2 Region 2 outing with a 16-3 record. In their last outing, Clinch County smashed Charlton County (Folkston, GA), 55-50, in a league outing.

The Wildcats now hold a 5-15 record. They play next when they travel to Lanier County for a A D2 Region 2 outing on Tuesday, February 7. Echols County will clash with a Bulldogs squad coming off a 71-49 league loss to Turner County (Ashburn, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-13.
