Bruning-Davenport/Shickley Eagles (Bruning, NE) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Shelby-Rising City Huskies (Shelby, NE), 51-19 in a league bout.

With the win, Bruning-Davenport/Shickley upgrades its record to 12-10 on the season. The Eagles travel to High Plains (Polk, NE) to clash with the Storm in a D1 District 3 bout on Friday, February 10. The Storm go into the bout with a record of 7-11. High Plains lost 55-36 in their recent league bout against McCool Junction (McCool Junction, NE)

Next up, the Huskies clash with the Weeping Water Indians (Weeping Water, NE) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Shelby-Rising City will attempt to upgrade on its 7-12 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 2-14 record after their 82-39 non-league loss to Palmyra (Palmyra, NE).
