Chardon Hilltoppers (Chardon, OH) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host South Rebels (Willoughby, OH), 62-48 in a league bout.

With the victory, Chardon upgrades its record to 12-4 on the campaign. The Hilltoppers host North (Eastlake, OH) to play the Rangers in a Western Reserve bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Rangers come into the bout with a record of 7-9. North won 55-44 in their recent non-league bout against Andrews Osborne Academy (Willoughby, OH)

Next up, the Rebels play the Riverside Beavers (Painesville, OH) in a Western Reserve bout, on Tuesday, February 7. South will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record. The Beavers come into the bout with a 14-3 record after their 76-66 non-league win over University School (Hunting Valley, OH).
