The Moody Bearcats basketball team (Moody, TX), was toppled 61-44 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Crawford Pirates (Crawford, TX)
The Pirates now possess a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bruceville-Eddy for a 2A Region III District 17 battle on Tuesday, February 7. Crawford will confront a Eagles team coming off a 83-36 league loss to Meyer (Waco, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 4-20.
The Bearcats (13-10) will now prepare for their battle against Rosebud-Lott (Rosebud, TX). The Cougars come into the 2A Region III District 17 battle with a 23-6 record. In their last battle, Rosebud-Lott beat Bosqueville (Waco, TX), 48-39, in a league battle.
