Franklin Parish Patriots (Winnsboro, LA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Grant Cougars (Dry Prong, LA), 77-56 in a league bout.

With the victory, Franklin Parish upgrades its record to 16-3 on the campaign. The Patriots host Peabody (Alexandria, LA) to play the Warhorses in a 4A District 2 bout on Friday, February 10. The Warhorses come into the bout with a record of 20-7.

Next up, the Cougars play the Peabody Warhorses (Alexandria, LA) in a 4A District 2 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Grant will attempt to upgrade on its 9-17 season record. The Warhorses come into the bout with a 20-7 record after their 68-52 non-league loss to Wossman (Monroe, LA).
